October Recap
October was a busy month with a vistit from Jefferson Firefighters, Grandparent's Visits, Back to School Night, celebrating the Statue of Liberty's 125th birthday and finally (in spite of the weather) a great Halloween celebration with a parade and Boo or Treat. Thank you to all parents that attended and helped out to make this such a huge success.
We also started our Jamming for Juniors music program with Mr. Chris by learning about Bob Marley and Reggae music. The children really seemed to enjoy themselves. Please remember if your child does not normally attend school on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 and you would like your child to attend please sign up ahead of time with your teacher.
Thank you for all that attended the Back to School Night. It was a wonderful event enjoyed by all. The staff liked having the parents ask questions about their children's progress and learn about what activities they are doing during the day.
Web site is up and running - please use it as an informational tool - as well as, if you have some kind words that you would like to share with others about the school please feel free to put them on the testimonial page.
Also a big THANK YOU to everyone that participated in the Kids Stuff fundraiser. It was a GREAT success and we have already put the money raised to use purchasing new toys and games to be used during indoor recess and day care, as well as, ordering MANY new Montessori teaching materials that will be appearing in your child's classroom very soon!

11/9 Jamming for Juniors with Mr. Chris - "Country Music"
11/11 We will be honoring the Veterans with age appropriate discussions and with a very special coloring
11/12 Parent/Teacher conferences
11/17 National Young Readers Day - Please bring in your favorite book!!
11/18 Native American Day - Each class will be studying a tribe and parents are invited to come in and learn about their child's tribe (details will follow)
11/23 Jamming for Juniors with Mr. Chris - "Mystery Music Bag"
11/23 Thanksgiving feast - all children are invited to attend (parent volunteers needed)
Observations and Conferences
Parent Observations will be held during the week of November 7th and Parent/Teacher conferences will be held during the day Saturday November 12th. Sign-up sheets will be posted in your child's classroom on the door.
School Closed
School will be closed Thursday 11/24 and Friday 11/25 in observance of Thanksgiving. Happy Turkey Day!!
