June News – Oak Ridge
This is our last official newsletter of the 2012-2013 school year. We would like to thank the parents and children for such a wonderful school year!! Best of luck to all children moving on from our Alpine family - you will be missed.
May Recap
In May, Mr. Chris came in to teach the children about beach and calypso music. It was very up beat and lots of fun too!!
Parent observations and Parent/Teacher conferences were a huge success and very informative. After our weather postponement Field Day was a huge success. The children enjoyed all of the activities and demonstrated great sportsmanship! A special thanks to all of the parents who donated their time and/or special treats.
June Events
6/12 Jamming for Juniors
6/19 End of year party - all children are invited to attend (afternoon children come in the morning) ** please see t-shirt note below
6/20 Last day of school
6/21 Kindergarten Graduation - 9:00am (kindergarten students and their guests should arrive at school at 8:30am)
7/1 Summer Camp session 1 begins (no camp on 7/4) - space is still available for all sessions. If you are interested in any session please notify Mrs. Dugan. We have flexible enrollment from 2 half days to 5 full days.
Fall Registration
Thank you to all who have registered their child for the 2013-2014 school year. We have limited space left in each of the classes. If you have not turned your paperwork in yet and plan on attending next year please do so soon so not to lose your spot.
Dark T-shirts needed
Please send in a dark plain t-shirt for your child by 6/12. These shirts will be used to make a "special themed shirt" for the end of year party.
