December Recap

Thank you to all of our parents who helped at our Christmas Party.  A big thank you to Santa for coming and spending time in our classrooms.  We had a great time!!

Thank you to Mrs. Gianuzzi for bringing her students to play Christmas carols for us.  We enjoyed listening and learning about the different instruments.  We also enjoyed festive holiday music with Mr. Chris during Jamming for Juniors in December.

Construction finally began in December.  Many trees were removed, as well as, the land was graded in the old decking area.  Over winter break new decking walkways were installed along with a new ramp and stairs.  Hopefully in the next week the fencing will go in for this area.  We also will be installing new basement hatch doors in this space.  When spring arrives we will lay down sod for a new play area for the children.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we go through this process. 

The new keypad entry on the main door has been installed.  Once construction is completed we will be back to using the three entrances for the school.  These three doors will be open at drop off and pick up time.  During the school day they will be locked and everyone entering the school will be required to come through the keypad door.  Instructions and keypad code will follow.

This month we will be celebrating winter.  We will be working on snowflake art activities and preparing a tasty food project!

January we will celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.  Through this we will learn about fairness, kindness and how all people are created equal.  

January 23rd in Chinese New Year.  It's the Year of the Dragon.  We will be making our very own dragon to celebrate.  Remember to wear red!!  This will bring you good luck!

Reminder

Please call school or check the web site's home page for closings due to inclement weather.  Please return your child's coat bag with seasonal clothing.  Two napkins are needed in your child's lunch, as well as, plastic utensils if needed.

Please no cell phone use while dropping off and picking up your child.
