April Recap
In April Mr. Chris came to teach our children about how the synthesizer works and rock and roll music. As always we enjoyed our class with Mr. Chris.
We hope that everyone had a wonderful spring break! The egg hunt was fun for all and a great way to kick off our spring break. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered and helped to make it such a memorable time.
The children are hard at work making something special for their mothers.
Our butterflies and praying mantis have arrived and we will be learning about their lifecycles. We will watch the catapillars grow into cocoons to get ready to hatch into painted lady butterflies.

Outdoor Playspace Update
We are really excited to see the outdoor space taking shape. As you can see the new fencing is in, the parking lot has been repaired and sealed and the turf is set in the old decking area. The new toys will be coming out very soon as we are soon able to play on the turf area. Still to come is our 12x12 sandbox and some new landscaping. It is very exciting watching the progress of the projects to improve our school.
Summer Camp
Just wanted to pass along some information about the upcoming weekly summer camp. As you have already seen we have lots of exciting themes for each week of camp. Along with our Montessori program we will be incorporating cooking projects, arts and crafts and outdoor activities and games into our summer school day. In the past I know that the camp has had wading pools for the children. After going to state licensing training recently we learned that small pools are not permitted at schools/camps. We have come up with other alternatives for the kids outdoor fun this summer. Some of these will include activities on the newly sodded grass, parachutes, tunnels, crazy sprinklers, new large sandbox, new fun water tables and lots of new outdoor toys, bubbles etc. We are going to incorporate as much water as possible with sprinklers, prism water spray bottles and water tables outside to play with. Summer camp is going to be LOTS OF FUN for the kids but as important we want to follow state regulations and guidelines!!
Summer Camp and Fall Registration
Registration materials have been sent out for summer camp and the 2012-2013 school year. Please review the materials and return them as soon as possible to secure your child's place in their classroom. Classes are filling up fast.
Reminder
Please hold your child's hand when walking in the parking lot. Your child's safety is our number one concern! Please check to see if your child has seasonal clothes in their coat bag.
Please do not send in your child's lunch fruit rollups or fruit by the foot. We find them a choking hazard. Thank you
Happy Birthday!!
