September Recap
What a great first month of school we had. The children have all settled down, classrooms are a buzz with movement and the excitement of learning new things!
Our annual breakfast went great. All the children enjoyed the scrumptious food. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers. Johnny Appleseed Day was a lot of fun. We made applesauce muffins and had a great snack together.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Pajama Day. All of the donations will go to the Muse Family to help with Evan's chemo treatments. Evan is a former Alpine student. Also a special thank you to Mr. Alliegro and the Sparta EMTs for coming and talking health safety and showing our students the ambulance.
October Events
10/8 Grandparent's Day - we hope that you will all come and spend some time in your grandchild's classroom and enjoy a special treat! Sign up with your child's teacher.
10/10 Sparta Fire Department - coming to talk fire safety with students and let them sit in the fire truck
10/16 Back to School Night 7:00pm - Come and meet your child's teacher,the head of school and take a look around the classrooms. It's a chance to get to know the teachers and learn about your child's day! Please do not bring children to this meeting - this evening is an adults only event.
10/17 Jamming for Juniors - Mr. Chris will be returning! We are all excited to start jammin' with our rockin' Music Teacher.
10/31 Halloween Celebration
3rd Annual Boo-or-Treat
As Halloween approaches we begin to perpare for our 3rd Annual boo-or-treat and parade. If you are interested in helping please see your child's teacher. Be on the look out for a flyer for more details.
Kidstuff Books
Thank you to all who participated in the Kidstuff fundraiser. It was a great success and proceeds are going towards new Mac computers.
Reminders
If your child will not be attending school because of illness or other reasons please remember to call the school in the morning to inform the staff.
Please make sure all items you bring into the school are labeled with your child's name.
Safety Reminders
We do not allow fruit roll-ups, fruit by the foot, yogos and fruit strings in the school due to choking hazards.
Please hold your child's hand when coming to and from the building. Please drive slowly and cautiously in our parking lot.
Stop and Shop A+ rewards
It is time to sign up again for this school year (they require you to reregister your card each year). To register your card you can either email me at alpinemontessori@aol.com the 13 digit number off the back of your stop and shop rewards card along with the first three letters of your last name or register your card yourself using the following steps:
sign onto www.stopandshop.com/aplus.com
on the upper right side you will see a button to register your stop and shop card
on the next screen you type in the first 3 letters of your last name and the 13 digit number on the back of your stop and shop card - next you choose Sparta, NJ and select Alpine Montessori. Then whenever you shop Alpine will earn points towards purchasing new equipment for your children to enjoy.
